More than 50 years ago, a young actor took the stage in a tiny off-Broadway theatre and introduced the world to a man they would never forget. That actor was Hal Holbrook. The man was Mark Twain. No one embodies Mark Twain like Hal Holbrook. In one of the most acclaimed and enduring performances in the history of theatre, Holbrook knows Twain as well as he knows himself, bringing richness to the character far beyond quoting Twain’s most memorable lines.

“A triumph! A genuine piece of theatrical history! Suffused with the writer’s rakish and subversive wit, Mark Twain Tonight remains the standard bearer in terms of biographical solo drama.”

- Frank Scheck, NY Post

Hal Holbrook in Mark Twain Tonight! will be performed as a part of the United Arts Council of Greater Greensboro’s 17 DAYS Arts and Culture Festival this fall.

Tickets are $47.50, $37.50 or $22.50, depending on location. A $2.50 Theatre Restoration Fee will be added to each ticket.
