TOURS
Get a true behind-the-scenes tour of one of North Carolina's grandest show palaces, the Carolina Theatre!
A member of the League of Historic American Theatres, the Carolina was opened on October 31, 1927. From her impressive façade and the ornate lobby to the grand house chandelier, the Theatre is as much an attraction in itself as the wide variety of events it hosts. On tour you’ll observe much of the area that the general public never sees. Learn many of the antiquated and modern tricks of the theatre trade, discover the history of this magnificent structure, and find out how it has remained viable for more than 80 years. You can stand on the same stage and sit down in the same dressing rooms used by some of the top names in entertainment.

Tours generally run 90-100 minutes, but can be made shorter to serve your group’s needs. Tours require a minimum donation of $25, or $2 per person. School groups are a minimum $25 donation, or $1 per student.
