Tour The Historic Carolina Theatre
"Showplace of the Carolinas"

Get the true behind the scenes tour of North Carolina's Grandest Show palaces.

A member of the League of Historic American Theatres, the Carolina was opened on October 31, 1927.

From her imposing façade to the ornate lobby to the grand house Chandelier, the theatre is as much an attraction itself as the wide variety of events it hosts. On tour you will witness much of the area that the general public never sees. Learn many of the ancient and modern tricks of the theatre trade, discover the history of this magnificent edifice, and how it has remained viable for more than 70 years. You can stand on the same stage and sit down in the same dressing rooms
used by Ben Vereen, Tony Bennett, Tom Mix and countless others.

Tours generally run 90-100 minutes but can be made shorter, to serve your group needs.

Tours require a minimum donation of $25 or $2 per person.
School groups are a minimum $25 donation or $1 per student
